The Lagos State Government will, on Tuesday, honour dedicated public servants who have rendered meritorious service for 30 years and above across the State 57 local government councils LGs and local council development areas LCDAs in the year 2026 LONG SERVICE MERIT AWARD ceremony.
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State and All Progressives Congress APC candidate for Lagos State in 2027 gubernitorial election, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat will be in attendance at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.
The event, which is organized by the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training (OLGE&T), will also have in attendance and the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro.

Awards will be presented to hundreds of deserving junior and senior cadre officers from local governments and local council development areas (LCDAs), along with certificates of merit, recognition plaques, and other prizes to exceptional officers in different categories.
Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, who will be representing the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will deliver the keynote address, while the host and the Permanent Secretary, Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, Ms. Toyin Rahmat Ogunlana, will deliver the welcome address.
Ms Toyin Rahmat Ogunlana, Permanent Secretary, Office of Local Government Establishments and Training assured that the event will serve as a ground to honour long serving officers in the councils and council development areas for giving their best while working for Lagos.
She added that Lagos State Government through the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training will be showing gratitude to hundreds of staff that had given their life and time to make Lagos great.
