Priscilla Ekundare , a Personal Development Strategist, is a high-spirited lady who is all out to make a positive difference in her world, most especially among teenagers and young adults who are yet to discover themselves and their purpose.
In this brief Online Chat with Segun Fatuase, She discloses that her altruistic desire led her to set up CeelaSprings Hub, an organization where ‘’we create platforms for teenagers and young adults to be inspired for Personal Development and Self-leadership’’.
‘’My motivation comes when I see a problem waiting for me to be solved. Imagine a young lady of 18 reaching out that she wants to live a life of influence but doesn’t know to get started. Showing her the light at that point gets me motivated to do more,’’ she asserts.
Brief background
I am from an average family of 6 (though, we lost our mum over a decade ago) and I am the second of four girls.
Growing up, I’d always had the qualities of Leadership and was made the Head Girl in my Primary and Secondary School.
While I was in the University, I became more intentional about finding my True Identity in life and sought for ways to help others find theirs.
I held some leadership positions in my Religious Organization on Campus and an Organization in the Department.
Knowing my purpose was to help others find the light they can hold to walk their own paths successfully. I began a One-on-one clarity session with teenagers and young adults like me. The seeds are bringing forth stems and branches and I know that soon, the fruits will benefit the world. It’s a process.
I want to be that lady/woman who touches lives and leaves them better than she met them
Birth of CeelaSprings
I live in a community where social vices are on the rise and obviously, the teenagers are mostly involved. It became a burden and all I wanted was to reach out to them for a re-orientation and also inspire them for excellence.
CeelaSprings Hub came up while I was taking time to ask God how I would go about the situation and the Word “Out of your bellies shall flow rivers of living water” was impressed in my heart. ‘Ceela’ is from Priscilla while the ‘Springs’ stands for a Source of wisdom that never runs dry.
After giving it much thought, TAKE THE LEAD Conference was organized on the 10th of December, 2020 for Students across 5 secondary schools with about 20 staff and 300 students in attendance.
The second edition of the Conference was tagged ‘BALANCE’ . It held virtually on the 10th of December, 2021 and we reached 281 people.
2022 holds so much for us and we can’t wait to unleash all that we have ahead of us.
Prospects of women asserting themselves beyond the home
The Home is only a part of the World that women have been created to Build. While we give attention to building it, we must also realize that we’ve been made to build our World and build, we must.
Interestingly, the only thing that can stop you is ‘You’. So, there are no limitations
