Ansar-Ud-Deen Calls For Sacrifice, Responsible Leadership, National Unity At Eid-ul-Kabir

Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, the National President of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (AUDSN) has called on Nigerians to embrace the enduring values of sacrifice, justice, compassion and unity as Muslims across the world celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Kabir.

In his Eid message titled: “The Spirit of Sacrifice: Building a Just, Compassionate and United Nigeria,” the National President said the occasion of Eid-ul-Kabir remains a profound reminder of the extraordinary faith, obedience and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), whose total submission to the will of Allah serves as a timeless example for humanity.

According to him, the significance of Eid extends beyond ritual observances and should inspire Nigerians to reflect on the sacrifices necessary for national development, social harmony and collective progress.

He noted that many Nigerians continue to face severe economic pressures, rising living costs, insecurity and uncertainty about the future, stressing that people of faith must respond to these realities with compassion, understanding and a renewed sense of responsibility.

Prince Kazeem stated that the spirit of sacrifice requires discipline, patience, accountability and selflessness from both leaders and citizens.

He urged political leaders and public office holders to recognise leadership as a sacred trust that demands commitment to justice, transparency and the welfare of the people.

Prince Kazeem also called on citizens to reject corruption, intolerance and actions capable of undermining national stability and development.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen President further appealed to parents, religious leaders and community leaders to continue promoting sound moral values, peaceful coexistence and responsible citizenship, while encouraging wealthy individuals and organisations to support vulnerable members of society, including widows, orphans and the elderly.

Speaking on national unity, he described Nigeria’s diversity as a strength that should foster cooperation rather than division.

“Our future will not be secured by suspicion and separation, but by justice, mutual respect and our shared commitment to nation-building,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to resist divisive tendencies and instead embrace dialogue, understanding and collaboration across ethnic, religious and social lines.

Addressing Nigerian youths directly, Prince Kazeem encouraged them not to surrender to despair or hopelessness despite prevailing challenges in the country.

He urged young people to remain committed to education, innovation, entrepreneurship and hard work, while resisting violence, extremism, criminality and other negative influences.

Reaffirming the commitment to national development, the National President noted that the Society has, for over a century, contributed significantly to education, humanitarian services and moral development across Nigeria.

He assured that the organisation would continue to strengthen communities and contribute meaningfully to the country’s peace and progress.

Prince Kazeem concluded by praying for divine guidance, wisdom and sincerity for leaders at all levels and for lasting peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria and urged Nigerians to embody the true spirit of Eid-ul-Kabir by extending kindness, generosity and hope to those in need.

“May Allah accept our prayers, sacrifices and acts of worship, continue to unite our hearts and strengthen our nation,” he said.

He wished all Muslims and Nigerians a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
