Lagos College Launches Learning App To Break Barriers

Walless College, Lagos State, has launched a learning application known as Walless App.

Dr Alexander Ogedengbe, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the college, said at the launching that the app was aimed to break learning barriers and bring high-quality education to students anywhere and at any time.

The event held on Tuesday in Lagos .

Ogedengbe said that the mobile app was designed create a learning environment where access to knowledge would not be limited by location, infrastructure or financial constraints.

“In today’s world, learning should no longer be confined to the four walls of a traditional classroom.

“Thanks to technology. With the app, students can pause, rewind and rewatch. This gives them the power to learn at their own pace.

“This is not just convenience, it is education redefined, and the application covers the national curriculum, university entrance examination and professional courses,” he said.

The app’s content creator, Mr Adewale Adams, said that the app would enable students to learn anywhere.

He said the college understood that effective learning would go beyond textbooks.

“That is why its teaching methods integrate rich instructional materials – images, visual aids, interactive content and real-life examples.”

The Production Team Lead, Mr Riliwan Adetutu, said that quality education should be a right and not a privilege.

“Our mission is to empower every learner, regardless of background, with the tools to succeed,” he said.

Adetutu said that the application would enable tutors to leave notes behind for students so they could revisit the lessons for more retention and understanding.

The school’s Head of Information and Communication Technology, Mr Ayanyemi Ayanugar, urged parents to take advantage of the app to improve their children’s education.
