A Lagos-based law firm has accused a legal practitioner, Mrs. Aderonke Adekoya-Ogunjobi, of instigating the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and using hired thugs to forcefully take over the premises of Goodwill Private Schools Limited in Ikorodu, Lagos, despite a pending court case.
In a petition dated May 22, 2025, addressed to Mrs. Adekoya-Ogunjobi, Benson Enikuomehin & Co., solicitors to the school and its proprietor, Pastor Sunday Enikuomehin, alleged that the lawyer, accompanied by EFCC operatives led by one Ishaya Dauda, unlawfully entered the school on Monday, May 19, 2025, and forcibly evacuated students and staff during their ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The petitioner further alleged that the invading party claimed to be executing a court judgment in favour of Mrs. Adekoya-Ogunjobi’s client but failed to present any sheriff officers or court documents validating the claim.

The school’s legal representatives insisted that the matter is still sub judice before Hon. Justice O.A. Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi.
“Our client told us that the EFCC officer conducted a kangaroo handover and handed some documents to you to take over the property, albeit illegally,” the letter stated.
The letter accused Mrs. Adekoya-Ogunjobi of deploying thugs to occupy the school premises and personally supervising the forced evacuation of students and teachers, denying them access to their chairs and personal belongings. The legal team described the act as “the height of meanness.”
In addition to filing petitions with the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) and law enforcement agencies, the law firm has threatened to institute legal action unless the lawyer withdraws the thugs from the premises and issues a formal apology within 24 hours.
“It is expected that by your year of call, you ought to know your threshold on such matters of this nature,” the firm said, citing Mrs. Adekoya-Ogunjobi’s 2010 call to the Nigerian Bar.
Photographs and video evidence of the incident have reportedly been sent to her mobile phone as further documentation of the alleged misconduct.
As of the time of this report, Mrs. Adekoya-Ogunjobi has not responded publicly to the allegations.
