…Lauds Tinubu’s Response To Trump’s Alleged Genocide Claims
…Advises FG To Adopt System That Incorporates Robust Checks And Balances
The Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) has urged the Federal Government to prioritize restructuring and bring it to the forefront of national discourse.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Tinubu Campaign Organization, Mr Joshua Ilevbare released on Monday in Abuja, the political group asserted that true federalism, with both parliamentary and presidential systems of government, is the solution to the country’s ongoing challenges of genocide, banditry, kidnapping, and other crimes.
According to the group, Nigeria’s current situation has become precarious, with external powers poised to intervene to halt the killing of Nigerians.
The organization stated, “when we subject the decisions of the US to critical scrutiny, our gains seem to outweigh our fears.”
“The movements for Biafra, Yoruba, and other self-determination groups have gained international attention, underscoring the urgency for reform. We must either take decisive action to restructure our nation or risk being torn apart by external interests,” the group said.
TCO maintained that President Bola Tinubu, a respected statesman, has the opportunity to reshape Nigeria’s trajectory.
They noted that the alleged genocide against Christians by Fulani jihadist forces is a stark reminder of the failure of the current political system.
The group commended President Tinubu for his brilliant response to the US President, who has expressed interest and willingness to help Nigeria address its lingering security challenges.
“The President should pursue intelligent diplomacy to engage and collaborate with the US government to end the embarrassing situation that has attracted the attention of the international community,” TCO stated.
The group advised the Federal Government to adopt a system that incorporates robust checks and balances to ensure effective governance and prevent malicious groups from exploiting loopholes.
In addressing insecurity, TCO urged the Federal Government to discharge all “rehabilitated” former Boko Haram members who have been absorbed into the armed forces, police, and other security agencies.
According to the political support group, the notion of “rehabilitating” terrorists and integrating them into the military is a misnomer and an absurdity.
“As we strive to build a more stable and prosperous nation, we must learn from our past and work towards a better future. It’s time for Nigeria to rise to its potential and become a beacon of hope for the world,” TCO stated.
